How can I achieve up to 22 bits of resolution from the Aura absolute optical encoder?

The Aura absolute optical encoder offers 18-22 bit resolution. For more than 18 bit resolution, the controller can average data samples to achieve higher resolution. Please see the datasheet for specific averaging sample sizes.
