If the Aura absolute optical encoder is within alignment tolerances, is calibration necessary for the published accuracy specification?

Calibration is not required for the Aura Series absolute optical encoder if alignment is within tolerance and there is no eccentricity error. Calibration minimizes subdivisional error, which is a factor when very low velocity ripple is critical. Click for more information on the Aura Series.
