Cambridge sensors company, Zettlex, has announced that a series of investments and factory moves has now been completed at its Newton Operations Centre. The new investment and layout will allow the company to ship up to 100,000 sensors per year.
Zettlex designs and makes sensors for precision measurement of position or speed in tough conditions. The sensors are used in control systems by equipment manufacturers in the aerospace, defence, medical and petrochemical sectors. Zettlex sensors are used by the International Space Station, in-flight refuelling aircraft, medical scanners and radiotherapy equipment. Zettlex exports to 45 countries and export sales now account for almost 90% of Zettlex’s sales.
Mark Howard, Zettlex General Manager comments: “Zettlex is enjoying an exciting period of growth. As well as doubling production at our Newton Operations Centre, we’ve just opened our new Global Headquarters in Foxton, Cambridge and a third US sales office in Chicago. We’ve also been welcoming new recruits in our engineering, production and administration teams.”
