As 2015 draws to a close, we have compiled a brief summary for what has been another record year for position sensors company, Zettlex.
Let’s get the financial stuff out of the way first. Annual sales revenue achieved for 2015 is the highest since Zettlex was formed. This continued growth is due to a number of what were high profile design wins now going into full production, as well as unprecedented demand for the IncOder product range.
Exports now account for over 85% of Zettlex revenue with demand and regular sales coming from 35 countries around the world. There has been encouraging growth in market share in North America and the Far East. In terms of industrial sectors, surprisingly for some, our largest (by revenue) is now medical. Alongside medical, the defence, aerospace, industrial and security sectors have also grown considerably.
Following a significant investment in R&D, we launched 60 million new sensor variants to the IncOder product range in September, taking the total to 100 million. This launch saw the introduction of smaller sized products in the form of 37mm and 58mm IncOders which have been well received in the market. If you would like to find out more about the IncOder range you can view online or download of product guide.
It is not just the IncOder product range that has expanded over the last 12 months, our team has too. Throughout 2015 we have welcomed a number of new recruits to the engineering, production, sales and marketing departments. We aren’t stopping there either, as we are in in the process of recruiting for a number of other roles. Dr Darran Kreit, Zettlex Technical Manager, comments: “In order to keep up with demand whilst continuing to invest resource into R&D, it is necessary for the team to expand. Along with our technology, our team of highly experienced engineers set us apart from the competition and are a driving force as to why so many engineers are choosing Zettlex sensors for their applications.”
So what does 2016 hold for twice crowned ‘Business of the Year 2015’ Zettlex? It is looking like more of the same, with workloads for Q1 already looking likely to exceed 2015. Mark Howard, Zettlex Managing Director, comments: “Firstly I would like to thank all of our staff, distributors, suppliers and, of course, customers who have helped to make 2015 such a great year for Zettlex. We move into 2016 with strong momentum with a number of exciting projects about to commence.”
