Zettlex, the Cambridge, UK sensors company, has reported record sales for its financial year to 28 February 2018.
Growth is due to strong export demand with sales to 47 countries accounting for almost 90% of Zettlex’s business. Zettlex sensors are mission critical components in machinery control systems – measuring position accurately and reliably in harsh environments.
Zettlex Managing Director, Mark Howard says “We’ve grown 60% over the last year and continue to see strong demand from all sectors and territories – especially North America. We expect growth to accelerate as customer projects go from pilot to full-scale production. A jump in sales can sometimes be explained by a single, big order that distorts the data – I’m pleased to report that profit, order numbers, quotations and web traffic have all grown in line with increased sales.”
Zettlex Technical Director, Dr. Darran Kreit says “It’s great to see some of our R&D efforts now paying off. Some of our customers really put our products through their paces – whether it’s on a surgical robot, a space rocket or unmanned submarine. I’m pleased that we’re getting a reputation for delivering on our promises for what this technology can do.”
