Cambridge-based Sensors Company, Zettlex, has had an exceptional start to 2016 with its IncOder™ product range already securing export deals worth in excess of £3 million.
Following record breaking sales in 2015, Zettlex continues to expand at pace with the company currently growing at a rate of 1% per week. Exports now equate to 87% of sales with a reach of 37 countries.
Much of this growth can be attributed to Zettlex’s IncOder range of angle encoders which are now the market leading choice for position sensors in extreme or hostile environments. There has been an unprecedented upshift in demand for the IncOder range over the last 18 months which now consists of over 100 million product variants.
Mark Howard, Zettlex Managing Director, comments: “The rise of digital commerce has enabled Zettlex, a company located in the small Cambridgeshire village of Newton to become an established, global player. This is highlighted by some of our recent contracts for satellite communications in Australia; CCTV in China; surgical robotics in USA and oil exploration equipment in Canada.”
Mark continues, “As a business we understand the important role of the web and as such we are continuing to invest to improve our online visibility and performance.”
It isn’t just revenue that is increasing for Zettlex as they continue to expand the team taking on more engineering and production staff. Dr Darran Kreit, Zettlex Technical Manager, comments: “One of our key success factors has always been our world-class staff, who continuously push the boundaries and have revolutionised the technology.
