Zettlex to launch 60 million new sensors at DSEI

September 15, 2015
Mini IncOder 37mm diameter
Mini IncOder 37mm diameter

It’s not a typo. It’s right. We are launching 60 million new sensors at DSEI 2015. Zettlex’s IncOder range of inductive angle encoders will increase from 40 to 100million product variants.

The new IncOder range includes:-

  • mini IncOders at 37mm diameter with up to 17bit resolution
  • midi IncOders at 58mm diameter with up to 19bit resolution
  • maxi IncOders from 75 up to 300mm diameter with up to 22bit resolution
  • a new range of external mount stators & shaft clamp rotors
  • improved measurement performance, especially with faster update rates which are now at 10kHz for absolute digital outputs.

There are also more options on connections, cabling, measurement resolutions and customers can now set pulses per rev for A/B pulse devices from the part number.

The new products will be detailed in a new look IncOder Product Guide Rev. 4.11 to be published on 15 September.

Dr. Darran Kreit, Zettlex Technical Manager comments “We’ve developed a very slick innovation & engineering pipeline at Zettlex. It’s been busy developing and qualifying these new products with some of our partners and lead customers. All the new product variants are based on IncOder technology, which is a well-established and proven sensor technology, and many of the new products are already operating successfully in lead customer applications.”

Mark Howard, Zettlex General Manager comments “We have seen large increases in IncOder demand and so – as well as massively expanding the range – we’ve also been able to reduce production costs due to an economy of scale. We’ll be passing some of these savings on in the form of reduced prices. This is likely to make IncOders affordable in more mainstream, higher volume applications which will, in turn, lead to further economies of scale in the future. In addition, we are already seeing significant, volume demand for the new mini 37 and midi 58mm models. These are exciting times and we are looking forward to seeing customers and partners at DSEI in a couple of weeks time.”

Rev 4.11 of the IncOder Product range will go on sale from 15 September 2015.
