Do I need special software to program an Everest Series servo drive?

Yes, MotionLab3 software is used for the Everest Series servo drive configuration purposes, however, the network configuration depends on communication protocol and the master controller chosen for the application. EtherCAT programming is readily available from multiple sources on the web. Following standard protocol will enable commands to be sent and received. Programming the EtherCAT/CANopen master will always be done externally from the Ingenia servo drives, since the drives are slaves of the network. Programming (modifying the firmware code openly in order to change or add features) is not available for standard products and is only available for customized solutions in very controlled environments.
