How do I drive the motor in the spindle?
For all high speed Westwind air bearing spindles, it is necessary to fit a motor controller between the spindle and the main supply, as frequency and voltage controls are necessary to rotate the shaft at the correct speed. These drives create very high frequency outputs from the main input frequency of 50 or 60 Hz.
