On my dicing spindle, how do I attach the spindle to the machine?

Attaching the spindle to the machine depends on the spindle type and machine design. Older spindle designs tend to be an overhung type with the back end of the spindle clamped in a cylindrical housing, or attached to the housing with a rear flange. Modern designs can be attached to an overhead linear track using bolt holes near the front of the spindle or along the body.
