Zettlex’s IncOder range of inductive angle encoders is now available with BiSS-C communications interface.
BiSS (Bidirectional interface for Serial/Synchronous) is a communications protocol used by industrial automation devices including angle encoders. It enables digital, serial, secure and economic communications between controllers, sensors and actuators. The BiSS protocol is designed in B and C mode (continuous mode) and is used in an increasing number of applications which require high transfer rates, safety, flexibility and ease of use. Importantly, BiSS interface is an open system and so integrates with a wide range of controllers from manufacturers unlike closed systems which restrict a user’s choice to a particular brand of equipment.
All size options for IncOder are now available with uni-directional BiSS-C communications. The connectors and cables for BiSS protocol are the same as for absolute, digital outputs; SSI, SPI & ASI.
